Commercial or domestic? They are different products
Most searches for bin storage are domestic — a timber or plastic enclosure for two or three household wheelie bins, typically £80 to £400, delivered flat-packed for someone to assemble in a garden. That is not what this is. This is a steel structure for a workplace, school, communal block or public site, fixed to a prepared base and expected to last for years of daily use in all weather.
If you want to tidy up the bins outside a house, a garden bin store will do the job for a fraction of the money and we would rather point you there. If you are responsible for a refuse area that has to survive collection crews, wind and scrutiny, read on.
Why screen bins at all
Screening does more than improve appearances:

Bins stay put. Unsecured wheelie bins move in wind and end up across the yard or against parked vehicles. A defined shelter is the cheapest fix for that.

Collections get faster and more reliable. Bins are always in the same accessible spot, which matters when a crew is working to a route time.

Pests and fly-tipping drop. An enclosed, defined refuse point is a far less attractive target than an open row of bins.

It signals where waste belongs, which keeps the rest of the site cleaner without anybody policing it.
What we publish, and what you will need to ask
Being straight about this: the listing gives a model code, a name and a price, and runs to about 300 characters in total. We publish no width, depth or height, and no figure for how many bins it holds or what size of bin it takes. Competitors in this category sell by bin count, and we cannot currently match that from our own product data.

Whether it has doors or is open-fronted, which drives both the screening benefit and how quickly a crew can work.

Base requirement and fixing pattern — like all our outdoor shelters it wants a firm, level base, and you want the fixing detail before anyone lays anything.

Lead time and offloading. Shelters in this family generally need mechanical handling to offload; confirm it before the lorry books in.
Siting a bin store properly
Fire separation is the one to get right. Accumulated waste is a fire load, and a bin store pushed up against a building is a well-documented arson and fire-spread risk. Keep refuse storage a sensible distance from building openings, escape routes and boundaries, and take the specific separation distance from your own fire risk assessment rather than from a rule of thumb — it depends on the building, the quantity of waste and what the waste is. This is general guidance and does not replace that assessment.
Then make the collection work. Site it with a firm, level, step-free route from the shelter to wherever the vehicle stops, wide enough to wheel a loaded bin without a three-point turn. If crews cannot get bins out easily, the bins migrate back out of the shelter within a fortnight and stay there.
Think about the approach for the people filling it too. A bin store sited for the refuse vehicle and not for staff produces bags left beside it rather than in it.
