Industrial canteen furniture needs to survive a very different life from office or café furniture — daily use in workwear, knocks from boots and trays, and cleaning regimes that would wear out domestic-grade fittings in months. Canteen tables with steel seats
The GPC canteen tables in this range are fully welded units with integrated seats formed from 1.2 mm mild steel — there are no loose chairs to scatter, stack or walk off, which keeps the canteen tidy and makes floor cleaning quicker. Table tops are light-grey MFC with PVC edging for extra impact protection, at a standard 710 mm table height with seats at 425 mm. Frames are powder coated in light grey using Germ Guard Active Technology paint, a sensible choice for shared eating areas.
Choose between one-way and two-way entry six-seat configurations (models QST861Z and QST862Z) depending on whether the table sits against a wall or in open floor space. Seats come in green, red, blue or dark grey as standard, and other RAL colours are available to match corporate colours.
Choosing canteen furniture for the workplace
Size the room on realistic peak sitting — a six-seat unit needs roughly a 2 m × 1.5 m footprint once you allow for seated users and a walkway. One-way entry units sit flush against walls to save space; two-way entry suits central positions. Because seats and frame are one welded assembly, there is nothing to re-level or tighten over time, and the units can be repositioned with a pallet truck when the room layout changes.
