PowerBox Charging Lockers

Charging lockers let staff, students and visitors store and recharge laptops, tablets and phones securely in one unit. Every KC Supply charging locker is from the Probe PowerBox range, with mains and USB charging built into each compartment so devices come out ready to use. Choose 4, 8, 10 or 16 doors, a flat or sloping top, and the charging type that suits your devices.

Laptop, tablet & phone charging lockers

A charging locker is a steel locker with a power supply wired into every compartment. Users lock a device away and it charges while stored, removing the trailing extension leads, shared charging trolleys and "missing charger" problems common in schools, offices, hotels and leisure sites. The PowerBox range suits:

• Laptops & Chromebooks — taller compartments and 3-pin mains charging for full-size devices.
• Tablets & iPads — USB-A and USB-C charging for fast, cable-tidy top-ups.
• Phones & small devices — higher door counts (16 door) for personal device storage in receptions and visitor areas.

Charging options

Each PowerBox locker is supplied with one of three charging configurations so you only pay for the power you need:

• 3-pin UK mains — a standard UK plug socket in every compartment for laptops and any mains-charged device.
• USB-A + USB-C — dual USB ports per compartment for tablets, phones and USB-C laptops, with no plug adaptors to lose.
• 3-pin mains + USB-A + USB-C — the combined option, giving a mains socket and both USB ports in every compartment to cover mixed device fleets.

Door configurations

Door count sets how many devices each unit charges and how large each compartment is:

• 4 door — large compartments for bulkier laptops or shared-team use in a compact footprint.
• 8 & 10 door — the workhorse sizes for classrooms, departments and meeting rooms.
• 16 door — high-density storage for phones, tablets and visitor devices where capacity matters most.

A flat top lets you stack or sit units below shelving; a sloping top stops dust and clutter gathering in public-facing areas such as receptions and corridors.

How to choose a charging locker

• Match the charging type to your devices — mains for laptops, USB for tablets and phones, combined for mixed fleets.
• Count your devices, then add headroom — pick a door count that covers peak demand with a little spare.
• Think about the location — sloping tops suit public areas, flat tops suit storerooms and stacked layouts.
• Plan the power supply — each locker needs a mains feed; site it near a suitable socket or fused spur.
• Lock type — secure compartments keep devices safe between charges in shared environments.
