The Thorworld range we stock

Thorworld container ramps — ground-level steel access ramps for driving forklifts into shipping containers, with capacities from 6,000 kg to 12,000 kg. The steel ramps are full-width against an ISO container door opening; gradients work out at roughly 1 in 8 on the manufacturer's own dimensions.

The range is designed to work together: ramps, plates, bumpers, chocks and lights covering the whole vehicle interface, with genuine fixings and spares available rather than generic substitutes. Capacity figures are published per product against the manufacturer's own tables — dockboards and dockplates follow the BS EN 1398:2009 approach of a minimum 100 mm engagement onto the vehicle bed, which is the specification detail most cheap alternatives skip. Hire, and what we don't stock

We sell Thorworld equipment new; we don't offer hire. If you need a ramp for a one-off job, Thorworld's own hire operation (Rentaramp) serves that market — for anything in regular use, purchase pays back quickly against hire rates. Two neighbouring Thorworld products we don't stock: mobile yard ramps — the height-adjustable 6–12 m ramps for driving into a lorry or trailer bed (our container ramps suit containers sitting on the ground) — and dock levellers, which are installed civil-works items rather than supplied equipment.
