Cantilever racking is the system to use when you store long, awkward or variable-length loads that won't sit neatly on conventional pallet racking — timber, pipe, tube, board, profiles, guttering and sheet material. Instead of beams between uprights, it uses a column with projecting arms, giving a completely open front so stock can be loaded and picked from the side without obstruction.
Our range covers GPC cantilever racking with parallel arms (for boxed or even loads) and tapered arms (which angle up to retain rounded or loose stock), plus the heavier-duty STOW Cantilever Racking System. Frames can be specified single-sided against a wall or double-sided down the middle of an aisle to double capacity, with arm heights and lengths set to your load.
When choosing, work from the longest and heaviest item you need to store, the total weight per arm and per column, and whether loads are hand-placed or moved by forklift. As with all heavy storage structures, keep safe working loads displayed and inspect the system regularly under PUWER and SEMA good practice.
