Hydraulic stackers are the simplest, lowest-cost way to lift pallets to height: the operator raises the forks with a manual hydraulic pump and pushes the stacker by hand. With no battery, no charging and very little to service, a manual hydraulic stacker suits occasional-use stacking — feeding racking in a small store, loading benches and machines, or lifting the odd pallet in a unit that does not justify powered equipment.
GPC VULCAN hydraulic stackers — fixed fork
The UK-made GPC Industries VULCAN fixed-fork range conforms to CE standard EN 1757-1, with controlled lifting from the hydraulic pump and smooth travel on two 180mm swivel rear castors and 75mm front rollers. All three models carry 1,000kg, with lift heights to suit your racking: 1,600mm (STHI21Y), 2,500mm (STHI23Y) and 3,000mm (STHI24Y).
Hydraulic straddle stackers — adjustable fork
The VULCAN straddle versions (STHI26Y, STHI27Y and STHI28Y) add manually adjustable forks and straddle legs that pass either side of the pallet — the right choice for bottomless and Euro pallets, and for placing loads flush to the ground. Capacity and lift heights match the fixed-fork range: 1,000kg at 1,600mm, 2,500mm or 3,000mm.
Is a manual hydraulic stacker enough?
Pumping a full 1,000kg load to height takes real effort, so hydraulic stackers earn their keep where lifts are occasional. If your team is stacking many times an hour, step up to a semi-electric stacker (powered lift, manual travel) or a fully powered stacker.
