All trolleys measure 1000 × 650 × 1600 mm, and every unit comes in four powder-coated RAL colours — light grey, gentian blue, anthracite grey or crimson red — so a Perfo panel kit can match an existing Bott Cubio or Verso installation.
Hooks, bins or both — perforated vs louvre panels
Perforated (Perfo) panels take hooks and are best for hand tools you want visible and shadow-boarded. Louvre panels take hook-on plastic bins and suit small parts — fasteners, fittings, consumables. The bins are high-density polyethylene, stackable, resistant to most acids, alkalis and lubricants, and rated from −35 °C to +80 °C, so they hold up in unheated stores and wash-down areas alike. If one station needs both, the Combi Panel Trolley mixes perforated and louvre panels on a single chassis, and any louvre position also accepts bottBoxes. Hooks fix with Bott's Perfolock system, so a layout can be rearranged in minutes without tools as the kit list changes.
Rack or trolley?
The freestanding double-sided racks put ten panels' worth of storage on one compact footprint — effectively two walls of tools with no wall needed — and suit a fixed tool point shared by several technicians. The tool panel trolleys put the same double-sided system on 125 mm castors, two of them braked, with a push–pull handle and an integrated base tray for larger items, so the tools travel to the job rather than the technician to the wall. On the trolleys, panels can be mounted vertically or at an incline — the inclined position tips the panel face towards eye level, which is worth having on the lower panel rows.
Heavy duty by design
These are heavy duty industrial units, not garage pegboard: robust steel construction throughout, wide stable bases on the racks, and reinforced perforated tool panels on the trolleys. That is also why a complete unit costs what it does. If what you actually need is a light-duty metal pegboard for a domestic garage wall, a DIY-store pegboard set is the right buy and costs a fraction of a Bott system — the Perfo range earns its price where tools are shared, layouts change and the kit is in use every working day.
Perfo panels as shadow boards
A shadow board is a tool board with each tool's position marked, so a missing item is obvious at a glance — the backbone of 5S and tool-control routines. Perfo panels are the hardware people build shadow boards on: the perforated panel takes the hooks, and you add your own outlines, shadow tape or labels. To be clear about what we supply — these are steel tool panels and hook kits, not pre-printed foam shadow board inserts. If the tool list changes, repositionable hooks on a perforated tool panel beat a printed board every time.
What we don't sell
Honesty saves everyone time. We supply complete racks and trolleys only — not individual wall-mount Perfo panel sizes sold as single panels, loose hooks or spare bins; for those, Bott's retail stockists are the better route. We don't stock the Bott Smartvan / vehicle racking range — that's Bott's van-fitting division. And a note on names: in the tool-hire trade a "panel trolley" is a two-wheeled truck for moving plasterboard and sheet materials, which is a different product entirely — ours are tool storage trolleys. If you need to move boards, a hire company will serve you better than a storage supplier.
Delivery and assembly
All Perfo trolleys and racks are supplied flat-packed for self-assembly — worth knowing before delivery day, and the reason a 1.6 m double-sided unit fits through a standard doorway on the way in. Every unit is covered by Bott's 10-year extended guarantee, the longest in the category.
