If you have arrived here from a search for GPC Industries, you have probably found the manufacturer's own site and a handful of company-records listings, and not much that tells you what the range actually contains or what it costs. That is the extent of what we can state from the product data in front of us.

We are asked two questions about the company often enough to answer them plainly. Who owns GPC Industries? We are a stockist, not an insider, and ownership is not something we are in a position to confirm — G P C Industries Limited files at Companies House and that is the authoritative source, not us. What does GPC stand for? We do not know, and none of the manufacturer material we hold expands the initials. We would rather say that than invent an answer, which is what most of the pages competing for this search appear to have done.

What the GPC range costs — the honest price picture

GPC is not a budget brand, and the catalogue makes that obvious the moment you look at the distribution rather than the headline. Across all 177 products we list:

The median GPC product is £1,706.70. The single cheapest line in the entire range is the polyethylene vault at £965.34, and it is the only product below £1,000 — there is no entry-level GPC tier underneath it. The dearest single configuration is a gas cylinder storage unit at £19,720.11, with the 5 tonne fully powered pallet truck close behind at £14,845.92 to £15,023.70.

The practical consequence: if your budget for a piece of warehouse equipment is a few hundred pounds, GPC is the wrong catalogue and no amount of shopping around within it will help. If you are specifying kit that has to survive daily industrial use for a decade, the pricing is coherent with that. Buyers who arrive expecting a £200 workshop item and leave irritated are usually buyers nobody told this to.

The sub-brands, and what each one covers

GPC does not sell a flat catalogue — it runs named ranges, and knowing which one you want removes most of the searching. Counts below are products we currently list.

Climb-It — access steps, platforms and towers (18 products)

The largest sub-brand on this page. It covers mobile safety steps, weight-reactive and safety-lock steps, large-platform folding steps with safety gates, podium steps, folding telescopic platform steps, easy-slope work platforms, cantilever height-adjustable platforms and aluminium towers. Galvanised security cages, knock-down cages, cages with lift-up lids, roof-and-base cages, lock-up security cages, lift cages, and both welded and knock-down gas cylinder cages. STUBBS, Apollo UK, Taurus, CUBI-Rack and PalletDisc (9 products between them)

The smaller named ranges. STUBBS (3) covers large timber bogies, large heavy-duty turntable trucks and a merchandising trolley — see the STUBBS range. Published lead times — the figures GPC actually states

Ten products in the range carry an explicit manufacturer lead time in their specification table. We are reproducing only those, because inferring a lead time for the other 167 from these would be guesswork dressed as information.

The shape is worth reading even from ten data points: the moulded polyethylene items and small cabinets are quick, and the fabricated steel items — cages, skips, bench extensions — cluster at 15–20 days. If your project has a fixed installation date, treat welded steel as a three-week item and ask us to confirm the current figure against the works rather than against this page. Two products, the fully powered reel handling truck and the extra-long fully powered pallet truck, are explicitly made to order.

Standards and certification — attributed precisely

It is common to see a whole brand described as conforming to a standard when in fact a handful of products in it do. Here is what the GPC product data actually states, product by product:

• EN 1757-2 — stated on 13 products, twelve of them VULCAN handling lines (galvanised and stainless pallet trucks, premium fully powered, lithium-battery fully powered, reel handling, mini lifters, weigh scale, electric high lift, and the fully powered, semi-electric, straddle and counterbalance stackers) plus the warehouse lifters/transporters. This is a VULCAN claim, not a GPC-wide one.
• BS EN 1004:2004 — stated on 3 products only: the Climb-It Extenda, Ultra and UniPro aluminium towers. The rest of the Climb-It steps range does not carry it, because it is a mobile access tower standard.
• BS EN 1570 — stated on 1 product: the GPC static lift tables. It is not a pallet level loader claim.
• CE marking is referenced on 17 products and UKCA on 4 (fully powered reel handling truck, 5 tonne fully powered pallet truck, VULCAN mini lifters, extra-long fully powered pallet truck).

If a standard matters to your specification or your insurer, ask us to confirm it against the manufacturer's current documentation for the exact model code before you order. We will not extend a certification from one product to its neighbours on the shelf.

Storage, containment and hazardous materials

Beyond the named ranges, the bulk of the catalogue is industrial storage. What we do not stock — read this before you search further

Two of the most common searches that reach this page are for products we do not list, and it is quicker to say so.

GPC sack trucks. There are no sack trucks anywhere in the 177 products we list. If a sack truck is what you need, other GPC stockists specialise in exactly that and will serve you better than we will. What we do hold in that space is heavier: hand-drawn trucks from £1,281.06, wire mesh trucks from £1,299.06, heavy-duty distribution trucks from £1,007.16, two-wheel Ackerman trucks from £2,223.06 and 2 tonne trucks at £2,214.18 — a different class of equipment for a different job. Start at trucks and trolleys.

Ladders. Only two products in the range are ladder-adjacent — the podium steps at £1,282.32 and a premium fibreglass three-way combination ladder at £1,444.98. We are not a ladder stockist and several of the sites competing for this search are. For fixed and mobile access at height in a warehouse, access platforms and steps is the honest place to start; for a general-purpose ladder, it is not.

Four products in the range carry an explicit manufacturer note that a fork lift is needed to unload them. On a heavy welded item that is not a detail to discover on delivery day — if you have no forklift or no hard standing, tell us before you order and we will check the note against the model code.

How to specify GPC kit without a catalogue

The GPC catalogue is broad enough that browsing it end to end is a poor use of an afternoon. In practice four questions settle almost every specification:

1. What is the load, and how often does it move? Occasional movement of a pallet is a manual truck; continuous shift-long movement is a powered one, and the price gap between them is smaller than the labour difference.
2. Does it go outdoors, or anywhere damp? Galvanised finish is referenced on 42 products and powder coating on 35. Getting this wrong is the most common and most expensive specification error in the range.
3. Can it physically get into the building? Welded steel arrives welded. Knock-down versions of cages exist precisely because welded ones will not go through a standard doorway or off a van without plant.
4. Is a standard or a certificate required? If yes, work from the model code and the standards list above, not from the range name.
