The right accessories keep loading bay equipment fixed, safe and serviceable. This collection covers genuine Thorworld Industries accessories — fixings, washers, fixing strips and dockplate upgrades — designed and manufactured in the UK at Thorworld's Chesterfield factory to suit the dock bumpers, dockplates and dockboards we supply.
Dock bumper fixings & fixing strips
Concrete fixings are matched to bumper type: M16 fixings (TWB-F4 at 180 mm or TWB-F5 at 220 mm) suit rubber and nylon dock bumpers, while M12 fixings (TWB-F1, 135 mm) suit extruded D-section bumpers. The TWB-W zinc-plated washer — 2.5″ outside diameter — is required at each fixing hole when fitting standard rubber or nylon bumpers. For heavy-traffic bays, steel fixing strips (TWB-EST in 1 m, 2 m and 3 m lengths) fit into the hollow centre of D-section bumpers to give a continuous, more secure fixing than point fixings alone.
Dockplate & dockboard accessories
Fixed Span Locking Legs (FSL-1) add support where an excessive gap of 150 mm or more exists between vehicle and loading bay. Fork Truck Lifting Handles (FTH-1) are recommended for repositioning dockplates and dockboards weighing 40 kg or more, and Side Curbs with Castors (SCC-2) replace the standard loop handles so a dockplate can be tipped onto its side and wheeled into position by one person.
