Heavy-duty warehouse trucks and trolleys for moving stock, parts and bulky loads around industrial sites. The range is built around UK-manufactured GPC and STUBBS handling equipment — platform and turntable trucks, distribution trucks, roll containers, bin trolleys and specialist movers — the workhorses that keep goods flowing between goods-in, storage and despatch.

Platform, turntable & Ackerman trucks

For long or heavy loads, a flat-deck truck is the simplest answer. Our turntable trucks are manufactured from fully welded tubular steel and angle section with an exterior-grade plywood platform, fitted with a ball-bearing turntable assembly so they steer easily even when loaded. Two-wheel Ackerman trucks steer from a central pivot instead, giving a tighter, more stable turning action for longer loads. At the top end, STUBBS large heavy-duty turntable trucks (2,000 x 1,000mm deck) carry up to 1,500kg, with a powder-coated finish and exterior-grade tongue-and-groove decks — a wire-mesh superstructure version with half-drop side is also available. Hand-drawn trucks add removable hinged sides in metal or plywood for loose or mixed loads.

Distribution trucks & roll containers

Shelved distribution trucks are the standard way to move picked orders and parts between departments. The GPC heavy-duty distribution truck range runs on 200mm rubber castors (two fixed, two swivel, two braked) and carries 500kg evenly distributed, with extra shelves available. For longer runs and ramps, Apollo UK powered distribution trucks add two fixed pneumatic drive wheels and carry a 600kg load (UDL) with heavy-duty 100kg shelves. Heavy-duty roll containers — the familiar retail and laundry cage format — are UK-made from powder-coated steel, available with or without removable shelves (75kg per shelf), and are supplied flat-packed.

Bin trolleys, tote racks & merchandising trolleys

For small parts, galvanised bin trolleys provide a welded-steel mobile rack with bin retainers on 100mm nylon castors, while tote pan racks offer the static equivalent with horizontal or sloped shelves (bins and tote pans sold separately). The STUBBS merchandising trolley carries 300kg across four shelves and eight bins in a 1,650mm-high frame — a proven format for cash-and-carry and trade counters.

Specialist handling

The range also covers the awkward jobs: four-wheel-steering Ackerman trailers (CE marked and plated, with removable drawbar usable at either end) for towing trains of stock behind a tug or tractor; drum and roll turners; self-levelling spring-loaded trolleys that keep the working face at picking height; large timber bogies; wire-mesh trucks; tilting skip trucks; and complete machinery skate sets for moving plant.

How to choose a warehouse truck or trolley

• Load capacity — rate for your heaviest realistic load, not the average. Capacities here run from 300kg bin trolleys to 1,500kg STUBBS turntable trucks.
• Deck size and shelf count — long loads suit a 2,000mm turntable deck; picked orders suit shelved distribution trucks.
• Castors — rubber castors run quietly on concrete; pneumatic wheels handle rough yards; braked swivel castors are worth specifying anywhere with slopes.
• Steering — turntable steering is simplest; Ackerman (central-pivot) steering tracks better with long loads and in tight aisles; powered drive wheels cut operator strain on long routes.
• Environment — choose galvanised finishes for damp or washdown areas.
