A mobile workbench turns a fixed workstation into one you can wheel to the job — to the machine being serviced, the goods-in bench, or the far end of the workshop — then brake in place and work on a stable top. The range
The GPC Mobile Work Benches come in four configurations: single drawer, cupboard, or drawer-and-cupboard storage, with a choice of steel top (WTS40Y) or plywood top (WTP22Y, WTP32Y, WTP42Y). They're UK-manufactured and suit general workshop and maintenance use where you want storage travelling with the bench.
The Bott Cubio Mobile Framework Bench is the heavier-duty option: a braced steel channel framework on 125 mm castors with swivel-and-brake mechanisms, in 1,500 mm and 2,000 mm lengths with steel-clad or stainless worktop options. Because it's part of the Cubio system, it integrates with Cubio drawer cabinets and cupboards if your storage needs grow.
What to check before you buy
Three things matter most on a mobile bench. First, castors — you want at least two braked swivel castors so the bench locks solid under hand pressure; every bench here has braking as standard. Second, the worktop — steel takes impact and oil, plywood is kinder to machined parts; our worktop guide covers the trade-offs. Third, what travels with it — drawers keep tooling at the job instead of walking back and forth.
