What does EN 131 Professional mean?

EN 131 is the European standard for ladders and steps, split into Professional for workplace use and Non-Professional for domestic. Professional means tougher strength and durability testing. Steps used at work should carry the professional rating, and plenty of budget warehouse steps do not.

Do you need the stabilisers?

The CAW512 adds adjustable stabilisers that widen the base. Take them if your floor has a slope or expansion joints, if the platform height is at the upper end of the range, or if people will be reaching sideways from the platform. On a flat warehouse floor at lower heights, the standard model is stable enough.

Mobile steps or a folding version?

These are more rigid and have a bigger platform, but they take up their footprint permanently. The folding version in our range stores flat against a wall. If space in the aisle is tight and the steps are used occasionally, folding is the better buy. If they will be stationed in one place and used daily, buy these.
