How does the safety lock work?

The steps sit on castors so you can push them where you need them. As soon as weight goes on the bottom tread, the mechanism raises all four wheels and the frame settles onto fixed feet. Step off and the wheels return. There is no lever to set and nothing to forget, which is the point: brake-based steps are only as safe as the last person to use them.

What does EN 131 Professional mean?

EN 131 is the European standard for ladders and steps. The Professional rating covers workplace use and involves more demanding strength and durability testing than the domestic Non-Professional rating. Steps used at work should be Professional rated.

Is 150kg enough?

150kg covers one person and a sensible amount of tooling. It does not cover two people, and it does not cover one person plus a heavy load being lifted onto the platform.
