Stainless slats rather than timber, which is the specification for anywhere wet or washed down. Wooden slats look better and are warmer to sit on, but they do not survive a shower block or a food plant changing area.

Five lengths from 1000 to 3000mm at 800mm deep. Work out how many people change at once and allow roughly 450mm of bench per person, then round up. Nobody has ever complained that their changing room bench was too long.

Double Sided Bench Specifications

Double sided or single sided?

Double sided goes in the middle of a changing area and serves two rows, so it is the better use of floor space where you have the room to walk around it. Single sided goes against a wall and is 400mm deep rather than 800mm, which suits a narrow changing room. We stock both.

How long a bench do you need?

Allow roughly 450mm of bench length per person changing at the same time, and remember a double sided unit seats that number on each side. For a shift of twelve changing together, a 3000mm double sided bench gets you close. Ring us on 020 3004 1152 with your headcount and we will size it.

Why stainless slats?

Changing rooms are wet. Timber slats swell and eventually rot, painted steel chips and rusts from the chip outward. Stainless does neither and can be cleaned with whatever your hygiene regime requires. In a dry industrial changing area timber is perfectly adequate and cheaper, so tell us which you have.
