A tug tows rather than lifts, and that is the point. If a large share of what your forklift does all day is drag cages, trolleys and trailers from one end of the building to the other, a tug does that job without tying up the truck or the licensed driver who has to operate it.

Pedestrian controlled, so no forklift licence. Anyone on the team can move a tonne or more after proper familiarisation, which removes the bottleneck of waiting for the one certificated person.

Two capacities here, 1000kg and 1500kg. Pick on your heaviest regular load, not your average, and remember that gradients and surface condition both eat into effective capacity. If you are near the limit on the flat, you will not make it up a ramp.

Electric Tug Specifications

1000kg or 1500kg?

Work from your heaviest regular load rather than the average, and factor in gradients. A tug working comfortably at its rating on flat concrete will struggle on a ramp or a worn yard surface. If your heaviest load is around 900kg, buy the 1500kg. The price difference is small against finding out the hard way.

Tug or forklift?

A forklift lifts, a tug tows. They are not alternatives so much as complements: plenty of sites buy a tug and discover the forklift suddenly has capacity it never had, because it is no longer being used as a tractor. If you need to lift to height you still need the truck.
