The Owner's Insights on the Mobile Sheet Rack
Three bays of upright sheet storage on castors. The point is that the sheets travel with the rack, so stock goes from the saw to the bench to the van without anyone carrying individual sheets across a workshop. Carrying sheet material by hand is how it gets damaged and how people get hurt.
Fully welded, which on a mobile rack matters more than on a static one. Every push and every door threshold works a bolted joint loose. There are no bolted joints here.
At 54kg it is light enough that one person can move it loaded, and the flat steel base takes sheet metal directly rather than needing a timber liner. Two of the four castors brake, which is enough on a rack this weight.

Mobile or static sheet rack?
Mobile if the sheets need to go to the work: a fabrication shop where stock moves from store to saw to bench, or a van loading operation. Static if the rack is a store and sheets are picked from it by hand. Static racks hold considerably more for the money, so only pay for castors if you will use them.
Will it take sheet metal?
Yes, the base is flat steel specifically for that. A rack with an open or barred base lets thin sheet sag through and crease at the bottom edge. If you are storing thin gauge metal, the flat base is the detail that matters.
Delivery and unloading
