The Owner's Insights on the Pallet Level Loader

This is a back injury prevention device sold as handling equipment. A pallet being hand-loaded at floor level means every item goes down to ankle height and comes back up. Over a shift that is hundreds of bends, and it is where a large share of warehouse back injuries come from.

The platform sits on heavy duty springs. As you load weight on, it sinks. As you take weight off, it rises. No power, no controls, nothing to break: the load simply stays at a comfortable working height on its own.

Maximum lift is 710mm. Worth understanding what that means in practice: it is a leveller, not a lift table. It will not raise a pallet to bench height for you, it keeps the top of the stack roughly constant as the stack changes.

Why You'll Love the Pallet Level Loader

  • Self-levelling on heavy duty springs: no power, no hydraulics, nothing to fail or maintain.
  • 710mm maximum lift: keeps the working face of the pallet at a sensible height as it fills or empties.
  • Cuts bending at floor level: directly addresses the repetitive stooping that causes handling injuries.
  • Improves pick and pack rates: an operator working at waist height moves faster than one bending to the floor.
  • VULCAN build: GPC's powered and mechanical handling brand.
  • 10 day lead time: quick for handling equipment of this size.

Why You Should Consider a VULCAN Level Loader

Spring levellers live or die on the springs. Under-specified springs sag permanently within a year and the platform stops returning. GPC use heavy duty springs on this one and back it as part of the VULCAN range.

Level loader or scissor lift table?

A level loader is passive. It uses springs to hold the load at roughly constant height as weight changes, and needs no power or operator input. A scissor lift table is powered or hydraulic and raises a load to a height you choose. If the job is hand loading and unloading pallets, the level loader is simpler, cheaper and has nothing to go wrong. If you need to set a specific height, you need a lift table.

With or without bellows?

We stock a version with bellows fitted around the mechanism. Bellows keep feet, fingers and debris out of the scissor action underneath, which matters where the loader is in a busy pedestrian area or where you are handling loose material that could drop into the mechanism. If it is in a controlled area with one trained operator, the standard version is fine.
