The Owner's Insights on the Single Sided Bench
The wall version. At 400mm deep it takes half the floor space of the double sided unit, which is what makes it the right answer in a narrow changing room or a corridor-shaped locker area. Seat below, hooks above, both in stainless.
Three lengths from 2000 to 3000mm. Note the range starts at 2000mm: this is not a small bench, and if you need something shorter the double sided range starts at 1000mm.
Stainless slats are the point. In a dry industrial changing room timber would do and cost less. In anywhere wet, washed down or subject to a hygiene regime, stainless is the only specification that lasts.
Why You'll Love this Single Sided Bench
- 400mm depth: half the footprint of a double sided bench, so it fits narrow changing rooms and corridors.
- Stainless steel slats and hooks: withstands wet areas and cleaning regimes that destroy timber and painted steel.
- Three lengths, 2000 to 3000mm: covers most wall runs in a standard changing area.
- Slatted seat: water drains through instead of sitting on the surface.
- Integrated hooks: seating and hanging in one unit, so kit is off the floor.
Why You Should Consider a GPC Bench
Stainless slats and hooks come as standard rather than as a priced option, which is unusual at this level. On changing room furniture the fittings are what fail first, and stainless hooks do not.

Single sided or double sided?
Single sided against a wall at 400mm deep. Double sided as an island in the middle of the room at 800mm deep, seating two rows. If your changing room is narrow, single sided is the only one that works. If it is wide enough to walk around a central bench, double sided seats twice as many per metre of floor.
How long a bench do you need?
Roughly 450mm per person changing at the same time. A 3000mm single sided bench seats around six or seven at once. Call us on 020 3004 1152 with your numbers and we will work it out with you.
