Two things make this bench cost what it does: it is stainless throughout, and the height adjusts. Stainless because it is going somewhere that gets washed down, where a painted or laminate bench would blister and harbour dirt in the damage. Food production, labs, pharmaceutical, clean assembly.

Height adjustment matters more than people credit. A bench at the wrong height for the person using it is a back injury waiting to happen, and if the same bench is used across shifts by different people, fixed height is a compromise for everyone.

Ten configurations from 900 to 1800mm long in 650 or 700mm depth. The 700mm depth is worth the small premium if anyone is working on both sides or you need room for equipment at the back.

Why stainless rather than painted steel?

Anywhere that gets washed down or cleaned with chemicals, a painted bench fails at the first chip and then corrodes underneath the coating. Stainless has no coating to fail. If your bench is in a dry workshop and never gets cleaned with anything stronger than a rag, a painted bench costs a fraction and will last just as long, and we will tell you so.

650mm or 700mm deep?

650mm suits single-sided work where everything is within arm's reach. 700mm gives you a strip at the back for equipment, jigs or small parts bins without losing working area at the front. The price difference is modest and most people who buy 650mm wish they had gone deeper.
