Trailer Safety Support (also known as trailer prop stands) are designed to provide support under the fifth wheel of a parked trailer. When the cab unit is removed, weight distribution in the trailer can cause the trailer to tip forwards — particularly likely during loading and unloading when weight from goods and fork trucks can be at the far end of the trailer. The support can also prevent trailers tipping due to failure of landing legs. Simply wheel the trailer safety support under the fifth wheel plate, then use the ratchet to adjust the height.
