STUBBS Heavy-Duty Trolleys

STUBBS Heavy-Duty Trolleys

STUBBS is GPC Industries' heavy-haul trolley range: large-platform turntable trucks, timber bogies and merchandising trolleys built for moving awkward, bulky and long loads around industrial sites and builders' merchants. These are not light picking trolleys — the load ratings start where most warehouse trolleys stop.

STUBBS heavy duty turntable trucks

The Large Heavy Duty Turntable Trucks are built for reliable transport of large, bulky goods in industrial and warehouse environments, with a load capacity up to 1,500 kg and a turntable assembly for manoeuvrability in tight aisles. Decks and sides are exterior-grade tongue-and-groove timber on a black powder-coated frame — a combination that takes knocks better than sheet steel and is easy to repair. Platform sizes run up to 2000 × 1000 mm, with a 1500 × 750 mm platform option (STUT1113PCR) fitted with slide-in sides giving 400 mm of side height (2 × 200 mm). A wire mesh superstructure version is available with a half drop side, which makes loading and unloading long items considerably easier than lifting them over a fixed rail.

STUBBS timber bogies

Timber bogies solve a different problem: length. The Large Timber Bogies have three adjustable extension positions — 1350 mm, 2200 mm or 3300 mm — so a single pair handles everything from board stock to full-length timber, with a generous 1200 mm saddle width and a 1,500 kg load capacity. They are available with a T-bar handle or a draw bar handle, both on 355 mm cushion wheels, and the precise turning circle matters when you are steering three metres of timber through a yard. Note a forklift is needed for unloading on delivery.

STUBBS merchandising trolley

The Merchandising Trolley (STUS2120) is the retail and stores unit in the range: 300 kg capacity, 1650 mm high × 1060 mm long × 590 mm wide, with four shelves and eight bins. That combination suits mixed picking — boxed stock on the shelves, loose fixings and small parts in the bins — in trade counters, stores and merchant environments.

Which STUBBS unit?

Match the unit to the shape of the load, not just the weight. Bulky but broadly rectangular goods suit the turntable trucks and their large timber decks. Long, narrow loads — timber, board, pipe, profile — belong on bogies, where the adjustable saddle spacing supports the load along its length rather than at one point. Mixed picking with small parts is the merchandising trolley's job.
