Forklift Training Centres in Birmingham

Birmingham's forklift training happens where its warehouses are: on the east-side estates of Tyseley, Saltley and Bordesley Green, in Balsall Heath, and north of the centre around Newtown. The city sits on the western edge of the Golden Triangle, the band of the Midlands that holds much of the UK's distribution space, so licensed operators are always in demand. Of the cities we've researched so far, Birmingham had the most centres you can actually walk into, and several run weekend courses for people retraining while in work. The four below train at their own premises, hold recognised accreditation and are consistently well reviewed by past trainees.

RS Forklifts Training

An RTITB-accredited centre at Haden Works in Balsall Heath, with more than 18 years behind it. RS runs weekend courses and offers finance and help finding work afterwards, which makes it a practical choice for anyone paying for their own licence.

Address: Unit 3a, Haden Works, Haden St, Balsall Heath, Birmingham B12 9BH

4KS Forklift Training

Based on the Bordesley Green Trading Estate in Saltley, 4KS holds both RTITB and AITT accreditation and was named UKMHA Training Provider of the Year at the 2024 Archies. Courses cover counterbalance, reach and bendi trucks, and the same team runs a second centre in Peterborough.

DW Forklift Training

DW trains from a unit on the Bizspace business park on Kings Road, Tyseley, with RTITB-qualified instructors and more than 25 years in the trade. It also runs a centre in Leicester and will send instructors to your site if that suits your team better.

FTW Forklift Training

FTW's Newtown centre sits just north of the city centre on New Town Row. The company holds RTITB and AITT accreditation and trains operators in working warehouse settings rather than an empty yard, with sister centres in Trafford Park and on Merseyside.
