Heavy-duty steel storage cages for securing stock, segregating goods and handling loads safely. From galvanised mesh security cages and lockable stillage cages to forklift safety cages, lift cages and gas cylinder cages, our range covers warehouse, distribution, construction and engineering environments — built to take daily industrial use, not light-duty storage.
Types of storage cage we supply
Security cages & mesh enclosures — The GPC Grenadier® range is the workhorse here: knock-down and fully welded galvanised security cages, lock-up security cages and cages with roof and base for creating a secure caged area inside a unit. Welded weldmesh panels resist cutting and prising, and lockable doors restrict access to authorised staff. The Troax Industrial Storage Cage adds a premium modular mesh-partition option where you need to build a larger machine guard or store-room enclosure.
Forklift safety cages — GPC Standard, Heavy Duty and Economy fork lift safety cages let a single operative work safely at height from a forklift, with full-height mesh sides, a self-closing gate and fork pockets for quick mounting. Essential kit for picking, maintenance and stock-take at height.
Lift & craning cages — Grenadier Lift Cages and Heavy Duty Craning Cages move palletised or loose loads between floors and around site by crane or hoist, with certified lifting points and four-leg chain sets where specified.
Distribution & stillage cages — GPC Distribution Cages with doors and Wire Mesh Storage Compartments suit order-picking, returns and parts storage, stacking to save floor space while keeping contents visible and ventilated.
Gas cylinder cages — Grenadier® gas cylinder cages, cylinder pallet cages and knock-down cylinder cages provide ventilated, lockable outdoor storage for propane, oxygen, acetylene and other compressed-gas cylinders. See our dedicated gas cylinder storage range for the full line-up.
How to choose a storage cage
Work from four questions. What are you storing? — high-value stock and tools call for welded security cages; gas cylinders need ventilated, signed cages; loose goods suit mesh stillages. Does it need to move? — pick forklift fork pockets, craning lugs or stacking feet to match your handling method. Fixed or relocatable? — knock-down (flat-pack) cages bolt together and can be dismantled and moved, while welded cages give maximum security in a permanent position. Indoor or outdoor? — galvanised finishes resist corrosion for yards and exposed compounds, while powder-coated units suit indoor warehouses.
Build quality & safety
Our cages are manufactured from heavy-gauge steel mesh and box section, hot-dip galvanised or powder-coated for durability. Lifting and craning cages are designed to be used within their rated capacity and inspected under LOLER where they form part of a lifting operation; forklift cages should be secured to the carriage and used in line with your site's work-at-height and PUWER controls. Capacities, dimensions and finishes vary by model — every product page lists the real specification.
Storing hazardous goods as well? Pair a security cage with our COSHH hazardous storage cabinets. Our team are former engineers — send us your load, location and security needs and we'll specify the right cage.
